Fee's and Charges

Q: I thought you charged $7 a mile?
A: When Chuck first started walking people, he charged $7 a mile because, well, 7 is a lucky number and it sounded cool. It's hard to schedule the start of walks when we are not sure when they will end, so we decided to make things easy for everyone and now every 30 minutes of walking costs $15.

Q: Can I bring a friend on my walk?
A: Yes! The more the merrier. Each friend you bring on a walk costs an additional flat fee of $15, no matter the duration of the walk (ex. an hour and a half walk will cost just $15 for each friend that joins). Just make sure to select that option when booking your walk.

Q: What happens if I want to cancel my walk?
A: You may cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your walk with no charge. Any cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in a $10.00 cancellation fee.

Q: What happens if I forget to show up for my walk?
A: No show fees are charged when your Walker arrives at the meetup spot and waits fifteen (15) minutes or more without you showing up. This will result in a fee equal to the full cost of the booking.

Q: Is there a Service Fee?
A: Currently The People Walker does not charge a service fee.

Q: Will I get a receipt for my booking?
A: Yes, once you book a Walk, you will get an email confirming your walk and payment amount.

Q: How much does a People Walker walk cost?
A: It's up to you on how long you want your walk to be! Walks start off at $15 for every 30 minutes.

Q: Can I tip my Walker?
A: Of course! Currently, our platform does not support online tipping (we're working on adding that ASAP), but you can tip your walker in person with cash.

Requesting a Walk and Locations

Q: How do I Schedule a Walk?
A: Go to our bookings page, choose a location in which you would like to go on a walk, choose your walker (we recommend reading a little about each one on their Walker bio pages),then choose a date and time!

Q: Can Walk Requests be made outside of the coverage area?
A: Not yet, but we are expanding soon! Currently, we are only walking in the Los Angeles area. You can get updates on the new locations we add by subscribing to our email list or following us on social media: Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

Q: How often will The People Walker expand coverage areas?
A: We are constantly growing and changing! We are aiming to add a new location a month.

Q: Can I bring my dog with me?
A: Absolutely! We love animals, just remember you are in charge of walking them and cleaning up their business :)

Q: When are Walkers available to walk?
A: Walks are available between 6am - 9pm everyday! Check each Walker's specific schedule to see when they are available between those hours.

Q: How old do I need to be to go on a walk?
A: You must be at least 18 years old to use our platform.

Q: Can I purchase a walk for someone else?
A: Yes, you can buy a walk for someone by getting them a gift certificate
